II. GET HOME OWNER'S INSURANCE

LENDER REQUIREMENTS

• Single Family home – requires Homeowner’s insurance policy

• Condo – your condo association carries a master insurance policy for the unit structure.

However, it is wise to purchase the equivalent of renter’s insurance to protect
your personal possessions.

III. POST OFFICE - CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Send the post office your change of address form. You can complete this form online at: www.usps.com/moversnet/coa.html



IV. REGISTER YOUR CAR (MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION)

Make sure your car is licensed within the required time frame (typically 30 days). And don´t forget to get a residential parking permit in DC!
